Many of today's top management are a product of traditional management. This is the
style they used to reach the top rungs of their organizational ladder. Yet they are confronted
daily with stories of the successes of
contemporary management and they know the clock
is ticking toward almost universal acceptance of this new way of managing people.

These individuals occasionally attempt a small aspect of the modern management style.
Often times it will fail because people will, as is their nature, either make a mistake or take
advantage of the team environment. However the aspects that are successful are
retained, creating a blended management style, which is nothing more than a blend of the
two accepted management styles.
